This intensive three-day psycho-educational program brings together 50 women at a time, laying the foundation for their healing journey.
Together, we explore identity development, trauma and recovery, forgiveness, and what it means to live a healthy spiritual life.
We carefully select and train 10 leaders from each group who continue to walk alongside the women, guiding them through their ongoing journey of healing and growth in intimate small group settings.
To help women become autonomous, we equip them with both the practical skills and the entrepreneurial mindset needed to build their own businesses.
Through local partnerships, this program includes five days of hands-on skill training in areas like soap making or baking, followed by five days of Personal Initiative (PI) training – a psychological entrepreneurship programme that helps develop a proactive, growth-oriented mindset.
After completing the program, we provide women with starting capital to launch their businesses – a seed of hope that blossoms into economic independence and restored dignity.
The women and their newly trained leaders then embark on a year-long Small Group Program, where they build a supportive community and integrate their learning into daily life.
Throughout the year, leaders receive ongoing coaching, training, and mentorship through regular field visits and meetings, ensuring they have the tools and confidence to make a lasting impact.
The year concludes with a joyful celebration and certification event, honouring their growth and achievements.
We believe that true transformation extends to the whole family. Through UJN's programs, we're able to foster lasting change within the broader community:
Sons of Congo (SoC): Equips the husbands, partners, sons, and fathers of the women we serve with biblical principles of positive masculinity. By transforming mindsets, this program empowers them to support and uplift the women in their lives whilst building healthier, more loving families.
Generation Hope (GH): Empowers the teenage children of women in our program through biblical teachings that foster a strong sense of identity, purpose, leadership, and healthy relationships with their parents – raising up a new generation of changemakers.
